Zirconia Crown and Bridgework are available in both the layered and monolithic techniques. Profile Dental Laboratory uses Cercon® Ceram Kiss and IPS e.max Ceram, these are veneering ceramics used for all Zirconium oxide frameworks. We mill zirconia frameworks in IPS E.max ZirCAD Prime and Esthetic.

IPS E.max ZirCad Esthetic is used to restore cases where high strength and optimal aesthetics is required to ensure the long term integrity and natural looking final restorations. Indicated for single crowns to three unit bridges.

IPS E.max ZirCad Prime can be used to restore crowns to widespan bridges. It is the all round material for a wide variety of applications and techniques.

These new generations of zirconia, offer a seamless gradient from dentine to incisal, which offers the desired aesthetics and translucency without the loss of mechanical strength, as it can be milled to full contour. This overcomes the historical problem of achieving lifelike aesthetics in milled monolithic zirconia restorations, which use to sacrifice mechanical strength.

IPS E.max® all-ceramic system covers the entire spectrum of indications ranging from thin veneers to inlays, onlays, and crowns. The IPS E.max restorations are highly aesthetic and exhibit outstanding mechanical strength.

These are available in either Press and Stained technique or the Layered technique.

Our PFM Crowns are offered in two different types of alloy as requested. The non-precious crown and bridgework is made from Heraenium PW Co-Cr metal which is beryllium and nickel free and offers an inexpensive option for reliable, high quality dental restorations. The Semi-Precious PFMs are produced using Aquarius XH from Ivoclar which is a good quality reliable metal containing around 80% gold. The porcelain used is DENTSPLY Duceram® Kiss which produces bright, lifelike crowns.

Our gold crowns are made with Midigold 50 from Ivoclar which contains 50% gold. It is a golden yellow colour, clinically proven and tested biocompatibility.
